Music Reviews

Here are thoughts on some of my favorite music.

Marshall Crenshaw: Also see New York Times article: "Oh, How the Critics Raved. Why Didn't the Masses Follow?"

Patti's Comments: Marshall Crenshaw is my favorite musician (born and raised in Detroit area, Berkley to be exact). If folks want to get to know the real me, they have to know Marshall-Hope. He comes into town soon, and will play "Hold It" (I have seen him over a half dozen times and he NEVER plays this song). If anyone reading this knows Howard (Marshall's dad) or his mom, or other family and friends tell him his loyal fans in Michigan MISS HIM. I even have pictures of him playing at the Stone Pony with Bruce....tell me that would not be heaven?
Bare Naked Ladies: Also see Crain's Detroit article.

Patti's Comments: What a great band - I am so sorry to have missed it. These silly Canadian guys make me laugh, and sing, and do the same for my kids (rare). They remind me of the guys I was in Marching Band with in High School - bunch of smart, music loving guys having fun!!! Beware if you try to find their web site, lots of real Bare Naked Ladies may come up. Their Christmas cd is great, we are still listening to it around here.

Patti's Songs to Remember - A list of songs that mean a lot to me - they either remind me of a place or special time in my life. The list was started July 8, 1978 and is still going strong!!
Patti's List of Concerts Attended - A list of live concerts I have enjoyed throughout the years.
